Generating Chrome Web Store promo images

The Chrome Web Store wants promotional screenshots with your listing, and PlugThis generates them.

Where

The image icon in the row of tabs above the preview, next to Preview and Code. It opens Store assets.

What you get

Five promo slides at 1280x800, the size the Chrome Web Store expects, delivered as both PNG and SVG.

Choosing a look

Six styles to pick from before you generate:

• Match my design. Adaptive, and it reads your extension's real styles, so the slides look like the thing you built. The sensible default.

• Editorial. Cream background, serif type.

• Bold Type. High contrast.

• Brutalist. Raw, monospaced.

• Frosted Glass. Blurred colour.

• Cinema Noir. Black and gold.

Generating and redoing

Click Generate 5 slides and it works through them. Each slide has its own Redo if one comes out wrong, so you do not have to regenerate the whole set for a single bad one. There is also Clear to start over and Download all when you are happy.

How this fits the submission

Promo screenshots are one of the seven required items in the Chrome Web Store Readiness checker. Generating them here ticks that item off.
