Workspaces: building with a team

A workspace is a shared space where several people build together. Extensions in a workspace are visible to everyone in it, and so are the API keys it holds.

Creating one

Open My Extensions and click the plus next to My Workspaces. Selecting a workspace shows three controls: credentials, invite, and delete.

Inviting people

Click the invite icon, enter a colleague's email address and choose a role.

• Member can view and edit the shared extensions.

• Admin can do that and manage the workspace's API keys.

They get an invitation by email.

Shared credentials

This is the part that makes a workspace worth using. Click the key icon and you can set API keys once for the whole team. Those keys are then available to every member automatically when they generate an extension, so nobody has to paste their own.

Only admins can manage them, which means you can give a team access to a paid API key without handing round the key itself.

What can be set at workspace level

The same things you can set for yourself: Groq, Gemini, Parallel Web Search, and Supabase authentication with its URL and anon key.

When to use one

An agency where several people build for clients. A team sharing one Supabase project. Any situation where you would otherwise be sending API keys to each other in chat.

The dropdown at the top of My Extensions switches between a single workspace and everything at once.
